Govetts Leap Lookout is a popular spot to stop and view the spectacular panorama before descending into the Grose Valley for one of the regions more physical walks where you can view the towering cliffs leading back up to Perry Lookdown and Evans Lookout. Perched on the edge of the escarpment, Echo Point precinct provides panoramic views of the southern Blue Mountains, Kanangra-Boyd Wilderness and the iconic Three Sisters rock formation from a variety of lookouts. Head down the path to the Three Sisters Walk and for the more adventurous a walk down the Giant Stairway, 980 steps, to the valley floor. You can follow the path around past Katoomba Falls and return to the top via the Scenic Railway. Interpretive plaques explain the cultural and natural journeys through this area and the Aboriginal story of the site. Echo Point is part of The Prince Henry Cliff Walk. There is an accredited Visitor Information Centre at Echo Point that can provide assistance on a full range of things to see and do whilst visiting the Blue Mountains.

The Victory Theatre Antique Centre is the largest antique centre west of Sydney. Blackheath village, 10 kilometres west of Katoomba, has become a Mecca for antiques and collectables shopping. The Victory Theatre Antique Centre, presents 50 dealers over two floors with wares ranging from jewellery, books, vintage clothing, paintings, dolls, ornaments, light fittings, fine china and porcelains, through to furnishings and furniture, and boasts the greatest variety of stock in the Blue Mountains. The building is a revamped Art Deco picture theatre, originally named the Arcadia when it opened in 1921, is now, with its Jenny Kee designed community murals, a Blue Mountains landmark. Included in the centre is Blackheath Jewellery, with its extensive range of modern and estate jewellery, and the popular Victory Café, which opens for breakfast and lunch seven days a week and for dinner from Thursday to Saturday.

The newly built Springwood Aquatic and Fitness Centre has an indoor 25 metre swimming pool, a leisure pool and a children's pool with a whirlpool and water slide that operates daily at set times. The centre also contains a fully equipped fitness centre, sauna, spa and steam room and full-catered cafeteria. Blue Mountains residents and visitors are fortunate to have five high standard swim and leisure centres spread throughout the Blue Mountains including Glenbrook, Lawson, Katoomba and Blackheath Pool. All of the pools have school holiday fun programs with large inflatable obstacle course at all the centres plus a waterslide operating at certain times at Springwood Aquatic and Fitness Centre. Centres are open daily and run intensive Learn to Swim programs. Call each centre to confirm session days and times and to check which special programs are running.
