Cairns Dive Centre is one of the most respected dive companies and largest training facilities in the world. They are renowned for providing outstanding customer service. Cairns Dive Centre offers day and liveaboard trips for snorkellers and divers, as well as learn to dive courses. Courses commence twice a week at our training centre, which has an air-conditioned classroom and heated, four metre deep training pool. Study materials are available in many languages. Training dives are done out on the Great Barrier Reef. The liveaboard boat, M.V. Kangaroo Explorer is moored on the Great Barrier Reef, approximately 65 kilometres off the coast of Cairns and visits at least two different reef sites each day. She is a 26 metre catamaran, with twin, double and four share cabins. All cabins are air conditioned,have an ensuite bathroom, carpet and a window. All meals are freshly prepared. For maximum flexibility they transfer out daily so passengers can stay for as long as they like. The day cruises operate daily onboard M.V. Reef-Kist, an 18 metre catamaran, which offers a fast transfer to the reef. She carries a maximum of 40 passengers for their day trip and visits two different reef sites daily.
