Discover the Victorian Coast

Day 1: Travel to Phillip Island, which offers natural beauty, sandy beaches, tranquil wetlands, Australian wildlife and, best of all, the Penguin Parade at sunset as Little Penguins waddle up the beach to their homes. See the Southern Hemisphere's second largest fur seal colony, visit the Koala Conservation Centre or experience the Phillip Island Circuit, home to the International MotoGP Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Day 2: From Phillip Island head to Sorrento for lively local markets, grand historic gardens and galleries around the coastal villages of the Mornington Peninsula. Visit one of the 50 cellar doors and taste the renowned pinots, or swing a club on one of the many golf courses.

Day 3: Head to the Sorrento Pier and catch the ferry to Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula. Try snorkelling or jet-skiing, swimming with dolphins, surfing, kayaking or fishing. World-class wineries are peppered throughout the area, as are superb restaurants, quaint cafés, fresh local seafood and weekend markets.

Day 4: Experience sensory overload as your drive the famous Great Ocean Road, the gateway to the Shipwreck Coast, taking in the stunning 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and the infamous Blowhole. Or choose to walk a section of Victoria's most iconic trail – a 100km stretch along magnificent cliffs and deserted beaches from Apollo Bay to the 12 Apostles. Visit the imposing 1848 Apollo Bay lightstation, walk to waterfalls in Cape Otway National Park and see koalas in their natural habitat at Kennett River.
