One mountain after another

Day 1: Float your ride down the mountain with a local hang-glider or simply take in the spectacle as the brave-hearted take to the skies. Explore fantastic rainforest scenery on national park walking tracks or the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, then tackle a more active way of seeing the rainforest with an aerial acrobatics course at the Mount Tamborine Adventure Park.

Day 2: Journey to Mount Barney to bushwalk or rock climb around this area’s World Heritage-listed national park. Hop on horseback and saunter through the dramatic scenery or get gourmet with an Italian cooking class, olive grove tour or vineyard wine tasting. Relax overnight at the foot of Mount Barney at Lillydale, one of Queensland’s oldest farmstays.

Day 3: Start the day with a scenic drive to nearby Boonah, where you can amble along the main street, browsing through independent art galleries. After a hearty country pub lunch, cold beer and a chat with the locals, you can soar through the skies and get a bird’s-eye view of the region’s stunning patchwork fields with the Boonah Gliding Club.

Day 4: Continue your adventure with a leisurely drive to the 12,000 acre working cattle station of Spicers Hidden Vale. There’s plenty of activities on offer - from mountain biking to bushwalking or horseriding. Settle in for the night with a five-star bush feast and a starlit campfire experience.
