Western Australia has a reputation for a bold entrepreneurial approach to business and it is a progressive State that is recognised as a powerhouse of the nation’s economy. In 2009-10, Western Australia represented 14.4 per cent of the Australian Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and it supplied 35 per cent of Australia's overseas exports in the same year.
Achievements in the areas of resources, mining and energy, agriculture, aquaculture, marine and water, health, science and technology and conservation all pave the way for our destination as a global knowledge hub in many industry sectors.
