Meet the Local Wildlife

A vibrant city of 60,000 with an enviable outdoors lifestyle, Mandurah sits between the Indian Ocean and the expansive waterways of the Peel-Harvey Estuary. Located just 70 kilometres south of Perth and 85kilometres from the Perth International Airport, Mandurah is within a one hour drive of Perth.

Day 1: Depart Perth in your luxury coach. As you head south, visit Rockingham Wild Encounters, to take a guided swim with inquisitive, wild dolphins. Take a glass bottom boat for the short trip to Penguin Island, home to Western Australia's largest colony of Little Penguins (the smallest penguins in the world!). Approximately 600 pairs nest on the island but spend most of their day feeding in the waters of the marine park.

From Rockingham continue to Mandurah for lunch overlooking Peel Inlet.

Overnight, choose from the many hotels in Mandurah such as Forté Mandurah Quay, The Sebel Mandurah, Seashells Resort Mandurah. Enjoy a seafood dinner of local blue swimmer crabs, or freshly caught fish.

Day 2: Cruise down the Peel-Harvey Estuary past the new Ocean Marina and out to the Creery Wetlands Wildlife Reserve with its diverse marine life. Pods of local dolphins often follow the boat and play in its wake.

Visit local boutique winery Raven Wines Restaurant for a gourmet lunch, with handcrafted wines matched to your meal, before a leisurely afternoon drive back to Perth.
