National Museum of Australia
Celebrating the Australian culture of storytelling, you’ll be amazed at what’s inside this striking museum. You’ll find Phar Lap’s heart in Landmarks, the most recently opened gallery, to a preserved Tasmanian tiger and moving memento coins engraved by convicts transported to Australia from England. Throughout the year the Museum hosts a number of engaging exhibitions. Leave plenty of time to marvel at the truly impressive Indigenous collection in the Gallery of First Australians which features one of the most significant collections of bark paintings in the world. Admission to the National Museum of Australia is free.
