Uluru - Itinerary Ideas

This four day itinerary will immerse you in the landscape of one of Australia's most iconic symbols. Uluru-Kata Tjuta in Australia’s Red Centre is a timeless place of rich indigenous culture and great spirituality, where you can stay in private luxurious eco-sensitive desert accommodation while feasting on authentic Australian delicacies.

Day 2: Morning

Depart an hour before sunrise for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to view the sun rising over Uluru. After a short drive to the Cultural Centre viewing area, enjoy a light breakfast. You will then have time to enjoy a leisurely walk through the Cultural Centre where you will learn the cultural and spiritual meanings of Uluru and Kata Tjuta, and have the option of purchasing some local aboriginal art works and souvenirs.

Return to Longitude 131° for a gourmet lunch from a seasonal a la carte menu with drinks included.

Day 2: Afternoon/Evening

Uluru Motorcycles
After lunch you may like to take a Harley Ride through the desert. Seeing Uluru for the first time from the back of a late model Heritage Softail Harley Davidson is an unforgettable sensation. Experience ‘the rock’, the sky, the desert - all of it with one of Uluru Motorcycle’s riders. Feel the freedom and exhilaration, absorbing atmosphere and wonder of the incomparable Red Centre.

Sunset Camel Ride
Another great way to explore the great Central Australian desert is from the back of a camel with the most breathtaking view of Uluru as your backdrop. Camel tours are scheduled around sunrise and sunset. Stay overnight at Longitude 131°.
