Day 1: Morning On arrival into Adelaide, transfer and check-in for your Regional Express flight to Kingscote, Kangaroo Island. Note: Pack an overnight bag for the trip to Kingscote (KI) as luggage restrictions apply on REX flights and are strictly adhered to: 15kg checked and 7kg hand baggage. You may store excess baggage at the airport for a nominal fee. Arrive at Kingscote Airport, Kangaroo Island. It’s a wildlife sanctuary without fences, where visitors can see Australian animals in their natural habitat. Around 30 per cent of the island is protected as parks, and its 541-kilometre coastline includes excellent swimming and surfing beaches, a spot where you can walk among sea lions, spectacular cliffs and amazing rock formations such as Remarkable Rocks. The island also has a growing reputation as a food and wine region, renowned especially for its honey, eucalyptus oil, marron and sheep dairy farms. Under the guidance of your guide you can walk on the beach to within metres of them, or view them from the boardwalk.
