Day 1: Morning
From Sydney wind your way along the Great Western Highway through the mountain villages of Wentworth Falls and Leura to Katoomba. Stop off on the plains of Penrith and you can learn how a didgeridoo is played and throw a boomerang at Muru Mittigar Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
Pause to stretch your legs at Glenbrook, part of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park. At Wentworth Falls you will encounter a spectacular network of bushwalks and lookouts providing endless blue vistas of the Jamison Valley and significant aboriginal sites. In Katoomba you can join the Gundungurra people on one of their tours along ancient songlines. Walk with them in their traditional country and hear their creationist stories.
