Day 3: Morning
A visit to the ‘Three Explorers Tree’ followed by a hike along the Six Foot Track from Katoomba to the geological phenomena of the Jenolan Caves will give you a feeling for the rich history of the region. Sections of the limestone caves have been open for visitors since the mid-1800s, yet there are still some that remain unexplored. For a unique experience don overalls, a helmet and light go on an Adventure Caving tour.
The rural township of Oberon is a perfect hub from which to explore the caves, Kanangra Boyd, Blue Mountains and Abercrombie National Parks.
