Cape to Cape MTB is a four day mountain bike race through the Margaret River region, set to an iconic backdrop of world famous surf beaches, private farmlands, wineries, rocky outcrops and national forest. In 2013 the event will run for its sixth year, with participant numbers expected to increase again. Race organisers are planning for more than twelve hundred riders to be drawn to the event. Cape to Cape MTB sees a wide range of entrants - young and old, male and female, elite and recreational. The event is tailored for all levels of riding ability with a clear focus on the challenge of completing the four day course.

The Truffle Kerfuffle - Southern Forest Food Festival is an annual one day event highlighting regional food and wine. It's a celebration of the range of cultures that brought about the ability to produce the foods grown in the Southern Forests, the range of foods themselves, as well as a focus on the black truffle. The popular SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon is a three day festival incorporating the Busselton IronMan 70.3 triathlon which provides a challenging course for competitors. Participants will swim 1.9 kilometres, ride 90.1 kilometres and run 21.1 kilometres. The festival will also hold the SunSmart Kids Triathlon for seven to 15 year olds. 2013 will celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Manjimup Cherry Harmony Festival. The program will include a wide range of activities, entertainment and displays for all ages. One of the features that continues to grow is the 'Tastes of the Southern Forests' avenue. Guests will be able to watch cooking demonstrations and sample tastings of produce grown in the region and prepared by some of Australia's well-known chefs. Visitors will be able to challenge themselves in the cherry pip spitting competition. This continues to be popular for both contestants and participants. The Festival's street theatre line-up is one of the major attractions throughout the day, with visitors experiencing acts from Western Australia and some who have performed overseas. The long table lunch on Sunday continues to grow, with guests able to sample the best of the region's wine and food, while enjoying the ambience of cherry trees in full fruit.
