Como The Treasury
Unmissable experience
The delicious seasonal menu at Wildflower is locally sourced and designed around the six-season calendar of the local Indigenous Noongar people.
Where: 1 Cathedral Avenue, Perth
It’s not just locals who think highly of Como The Treasury: not long after it opened, the boutique hotel was named the second-best hotel in the world by the prestigious magazine, Conde Nast Traveler. Local firm Kerry Hill Architects were responsible for transforming three historic government offices into a lifestyle precinct that is also home to a clutch of the city’s best bars and restaurants. Guests can enjoy the sky-high lap pool and the sumptuous spa, as well as superb breakfasts at Post, overlooking the gorgeous Postal Hall, and dinner at the magnificent rooftop Wildflower restaurant.
Crown Towers Perth
Where: Great Eastern Highway, Burswood
Although it lies a 15-minute drive from the centre of town, Crown Towers Perth is still in the heart of the action. The hotel is a destination in its own right complete with a theatre, a casino and a mouth-watering selection of restaurants helmed by big-name chefs. It’s clear from the moment you walk through the door that the developers were thinking big: the seven-metre (23-foot) high ceilings and the spectacular chandeliers – weighing three tons – are proof of that. But it’s the little details that really impress, from the silky lining of the dressing gowns to the ultra-clear filtered ice cubes in the cocktails.
