The Grand Gelinaz! Shuffle

The Grand Gelinaz! Shuffle is a worldwide event where 40 of the world’s top chefs swap restaurants and lives for one night only.

Four Australian chefs were among a group of 40 to participate in global food event, The Grand Gelinaz! Shuffle. Ben Shewry from Melbourne’s Attica, Dan Hunter from Birreguna based Brae, Paul Carmichael from Momofuku Seiobo in Sydney and Jock Zonfrillo from Adelaide’s Orana.

While the participating chefs and restaurants are announced, the swaps remain a secret to the public until the night. Created by Italian food writer Andrea Petrini, the event serves to shake up the global restaurant industry, testing the boundaries of international cuisine and challenging the culinary repertoire of the world’s top chefs.

Blaine Wetzel, The Great Ocean Road

“I think Victoria is as global food destination just based on the diversity of products. You have awesome forests, a lot of agriculture and it’s just full of plants and animals and it’s right on the beach with all these coastal products.” Blaine Wetzel
