Canberra celebrates the arrival of spring each year with the month long flower festival, Floriade. Nearly 500,000 people pass through the gates of Commonwealth Park alongside picturesque Lake Burley Griffin to witness the annual floral extravaganza. The festival features more than one million blooms, complemented by an entertainment program including music, gardening workshops and roving entertainment. The night time ticketed event, NightFest, sees Floriade come to life after dark for five nights only with spectacular lighting, comedy, music and food and wine.
