Breathe in the fresh sea air, sample innovative local cuisine, and soak up the relaxed alfresco lifestyle of the Mornington Peninsula, just an hour from Melbourne. Visitors can find natural hot springs, cafés in breezy seaside villages and gourmet delights at boutique wineries in the hinterland.

 

DAY 1: FORAGE FARM GATES AND MAKE YOUR OWN WINE

Montalto Winery, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria (C) Visit Victoria

Morning
Take the short hour trip south of Melbourne, winding along the coast line of Port Phillip Bay. Forage farms with a local chef before enjoying a meal at the award-winning Paringa Estate restaurant.

Afternoon
Stop in at Foxey’s Hang Out for a taste of great wines and a chance to make a personalised bottle of your own sparkling wine.

Evening
Meet local artisan producers and wine-makers and enjoy tasting some of the regions best vintage wines at a stunning private-estate dinner surrounded by the sounds, smells and tastes of Australia. Spend the night in Mornington Peninsula’s newest accommodation.

 

DAY 2: DIVING FOR SCALLOPS AND HORSEBACK WINE TOUR

Chinamans Hut, Port Phillip Bay, Victoria

Morning 
Enjoy the sunrise and a champagne from a private thermal hot spring pool with a 360degree view of the Peninsula. Meet local producers and farmers at an alfresco breakfast in amongst the trees at Mock Orchard. Or head to the beach to dive for scallops to bring back to the orchard and cook up for breakfast.    

Afternoon
Go diving for scallops, or take to the rustic wine region on horseback stopping in at the local brewery before ending at award-winning Ten Minutes By Tractor to enjoy a delicious lunch. Afterwards, head back to Melbourne along the coastline for the evening's activities.

Enjoy your evening in Melbourne
