Greater Blue Mountains Drive - Blue Mountains Discovery Trail

The 'edge-of-the-world' drive around the cliff tops between Katoomba and Wentworth Falls are part of this Blue Mountains Discovery Trail. Part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, it is packed full of lookouts, picnic areas and walking tracks located alongside galleries, cafes, museums, antiques and accommodation in the villages of Katoomba, Leura and Wentworth Falls. Highlights include Echo Point and the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Scenic World, Sublime Point, and Wentworth Falls Lake. The Wentworth Falls Picnic area and The Valley of the Waters are linked by walking tracks at three different levels on the escarpment. This Trail is best started west of Katoomba at the intersection of Valley Road and Bathurst Road, is 36 kilometres one way to Wentworth Falls and takes about one hour, plus stops, all on sealed suburban roads. Staff at the Blue Mountains Visitor Information Centre at Echo Point can assist with information.

Blue Mountains National Park - National Pass

Type of forest: Dry eucalypt forest Walking distance: 5.4 kilometres Time: 3.5 hours Difficulty: Hard, with some sections - such as the Giant Staircase - requiring reasonable fitness. How to get there: Wentworth Falls is also a suburb of the Blue Mountains, a 90-minute drive from Sydney. National Pass is a loop walk, accessible via Conservation Hut.

Blue Mountains Pro Wrestling presents Stronghold

Blue Mountains Pro Wrestling will return to the Blackheath Community Centre to kick off a new year of World Heritage professional wrestling. At their last show, Robbie Eagles defeated both Adam Hoffman and Bishop Sommers in a triple threat match to become the very first Blue Mountains World Heritage champion. The intense Tyson Gibbs will be back in Blackheath and will take on Ryan Eagles, these two competitors have began a vicious rivalry which started back on August 31st when Gibbs used some dirty tactics on Eagles to advance in the World Heritage series. Gibbs and Eagles will get another chance to settle the score. Doors open at 6.15pm, show starts at 7pm.

Use well maintained tracks alongside gurgling creeks to the base of waterfalls, steps to lookouts overlooking waterfalls and superb panoramas. The course focus is on photography composition and getting it right on location without the reliance on editing software. This is a superb location to learn photography, utilising natural light along with the challenges of constantly changing conditions. You will learn photograph composition, lenses, filters, white balance, manual, aperture, depth of field, and shutter speeds. If time your guide will cover AEB (automatic exposure bracketing). The modules move along at your speed with each theory module supported by a practical session. The last hour is all practical with support where required.
