The Pioneer Women's Hut at Glenroy Heritage Reserve is one of the best and most unusual small museums in Australia. Cleverly themed, it reflects the ingenuity of women in finding solutions to the challenges of looking after a family in early rural Australia. The accessibility and provenance of the diverse collection adds to its reputation. The Heritage Quilt Room exhibition is now open and displays "The Gift of Thrift" exhibition. Entry to this exibition is $5 per person. Glenroy Cottage Crafts is a little shop nearby offering a wide range of useful and attractive goods. Other heritage displays include a machinery shed full of farm implements used by the hard working pioneers of the Tumbarumba district.

The Tadeusz Kosciuszko Monument is located at the northern entrance to Cooma and was a bicentennial gift from the Federal Council of Polish Associations in Australia to the town. The monument commemorates the discovery of Mount Kosciuszko, and the contribution of Polish settlers to the Snowy Mountains Scheme. There is an information turnout, coach and car parking available.

The Stewarts Information and Gallery has been compiled by Leigh Stewart, resident of Adaminaby and former resident of Old Adaminaby. A unique experience and fascinating memories of historic Adaminaby from 1870 to 2004. The display consists of historic photos, newspapers clippings, documents on the history of Adaminaby, Snowy Hydro, Kiandra, the ski run at Selwyn Snowfields. There are also map displays, an historic video and art exhibitions of local artists work. Books and videos are also available for sale.

This walk follows the old Summit Road - closed to public vehicles since 1976 - to Mount Kosciuszko. The walk passes through snow gums, heath and herb fields and provides sweeping views of the Main Range and Snowy River. After crossing the Snowy River (4.5 kilometre) the walk climbs gradually to Seaman's Hut (six kilometre), Rawson's Pass (eight kilometre) and the summit of Mount Kosciuszko. A further trail heads back from Mount Kosciuszko to the chairlifts of the Thredbo Alpine Village. Type of forest: Alpine, grassy woodland Walking distance: 4.5 kilometres each way Time: three hour return Difficulty: this walk incorporates steep inclines and descents; moderate fitness is recommended. How to get there: Kosciuszko National Park is near Jindabyne, a five-hour drive south of Sydney. The walk begins at Charlotte's Pass.

Located 4.2 kilometres from Bombala on the Delegate Road, the Platypus Reserve is an ideal spot to see platypus. Early morning or late afternoon are the best times to see platypus. The raised platform makes viewing easy for all age groups. Platypus can stay underwater for up to 14 minutes, but more commonly they will only remain under for between 60 to 90 seconds, so be patient and quiet when you are viewing this national treasure. The on-site information board provides you with comprehensive details about the platypus. The reserve is a great spot to sit and enjoy lunch or simply soak up the peace and quiet. Picnic tables are provided and there are two bird hides to allow you to really experience the bird life.
