The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) offers the ultimate event experience. With a philosophy of maximum flexibility, GCCEC effortlessly melds business tourism within a resort location offering delegates a total event experience. The centre is exclusive in its size and is purpose built. The tiered Arena seats 6,000 while the centre can cater for conventions of 200 to 6,000 delegates and banquets up to 3,500 delegates. The Centre boasts a 6,345 square metre Exhibition space divisible into four halls, 18 meeting rooms and 10,000 square metres of total exhibition space across the ground floor. The GCCEC is the next generation of convention centres offering total wireless technology allowing delegates and visitors to log on to email and the Internet from anywhere within in the venue. They also offer award winning on-site catering that is HACCP compliant and our own in-house Audio-Visual services, as well as in-house marketing and public relations support and professional event management.

7D Cinema brought the newest technology in Virtual Reality to Australia! You are buckled up in Ferrari-style seats in a nine seat simulator platform. The entire platform moves according to what is happening on screen whilst you are watching a movie with interactive 3D glasses. Over seven different special effects kick in during each of the 10 movies you can choose from. No session times, you can walk in anytime between 9:30am-10pm to choose your preferred movie and they seat you in the next available session. They are short ride movies of approximately eight minutes per ride, quite intense with all the movements and special effects.

Kirra Reef in the Pacific Ocean at the southern end of the Gold Coast consists of scattered rocky outcrops that are covered in kelp fronds. Drift from rock to rock and investigate every nook and cranny, with morays hiding in the most unexpected places. The beauty of this site is in watching the smaller species. Porcupine fish abound here and wobbegongs and macro life inhabit the reef.

The Gold Coast Seaway offers diving for the beginner to advanced. There are two pipes that protrude from the Southern Seaway wall. This dive site is divided into four main areas: South Wall (including the Sand Bypass Pipe and the Short Pipe) - great marine biodiversity; North Wall - schools of pelagic fish, wobbegong and whaler sharks; South-West Wall - beach entry and home to little critters; Wave Break Island - excellent for snorkelling, intro and learn to dive.

The hull of The Scottish Prince lies in 10 metres of water near the Southport Spit providing a fascinating wreck dive on the Gold Coast. In 1887, "The Scottish Prince", a 3 steel-masted iron barque 64 metres long, sank as she was sailing from Glasgow, Scotland to Brisbane with a cargo of whiskey, mousetraps, linen and other assorted cargo. Only the hull remains and is covered with soft corals and sponges, and is a haven for crayfish, Shovelnose rays, Leopard and wobbegong sharks, and other tropical fish. The wreck is protected under the Commonwealth Historic Shipwreck Act.

Established in 1946, Southport Yacht Club has a beautiful setting with panoramic views of their multimillion dollar 300 berth Private Marina and of the Southport Broadwater. Dining can be enjoyed from the Waterfront Restaurant, whatever your desire, they have the dining facilities and setting in which to kick back, unwind and enjoy the scenery. Southport Yacht Club's Clubhouse is complete with two major function rooms. Apple Tree Park at the top of the Springbrook range is the access point for many of the amazing walks in the Springbook area. The park itself is a lovely little park, with a brand new amenities building, barbecues and picnic tables. If the kids are used to the foreshore parks alone, pack the car and head up the Springbrook range for this treat. A quiet, sheltered, green green park awaits! Most days birds such as kookaburras can be found within metres of the visitors, resting on the arms of the trees. Just stop and listen to the wildlife and hear the wind whistling through the leaves. Apple Tree Park is the starting point for the Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk. The walk is a 54 kilometre trek through the beautiful Springbrook rainforest. However, you can do a much smaller distance and still take in the great views and tranquility of the rainforest. Pack your walking shoes, a hat and drink bottle and enjoy! See the birds, hear them chirping, amaze at the beautiful historic trees - this spectacular location is just 29 kilometres from Mudgeeraba.
