The Laura Information Outlet is found in Hughes Street, the main street of Laura, a small town in the Southern Flinders region of South Australia. The centre is run by volunteers and aims to be open from 10am to 4pm every day. The centre provides visitors and locals with holiday information for all of South Australia and Broken Hill, including when possible the particular local knowledge so helpful when visitors are here for the first time. With the growing interest in locally produced food and drink, the centre specialises in local products. With the Golden North Ice Cream manufacturer just down the street, visitors can view a four minute video of the production line in action (and taste the delicious Giant Twins next door). Walking guide and bus guide tours can be booked. There are local souvenirs and postcards as well as photocopying services.

The first purpose built underground Catholic Church of its type in the world opened June 25 1967 and extensions completed September 1984. It still remains Australia's only purpose built underground Catholic Church and is classified a historical site in Coober Pedy, South Australia. Special features of the church include the bell tower, St Anthony's Window, the Jasper stone altar and sanctuary, and the Holy Picture of Marija Pomagaj. Post cards and fridge magnets are available for purchase and many visitors light a candle expressing a personal prayer.

The Northern Festival Centre, Port Pirie, is a fully equipped multi-purpose arts centre and can accommodate a diverse range of conferences, performing arts, film screenings, seminars and product launches. Within the Centre are the Keith Michell Theatre, The Ballroom, and meeting rooms (Barbara Welch Room and Council Room). In addition to being one of South Australia's most important industrial and commercial centres, Port Pirie has a rich and historical base, with a number of heritage listed buildings and monuments throughout the city. Arkapena Scenic Adventure is a genuine four wheel drive experience through some of the most spectacular scenery of South Australia’s Flinders Ranges. The Arkapena track follows old mustering and fire trails on the 12,000 hectares Arkapena Station to the south and east of Wilpena Pound. The track begins with gentle slopes of dodonea bushland, arid native pine forest and Redgum creeks, among the foothills of the Chace Range. Here the geological history of the Flinders Ranges unfolds. Ancient sedimentary deposits of sand and silt have solidified and been molded into the rugged slopes of the surrounding Chace, Wilpena and Elder Ranges. Arkapena Scenic Adventure culminates in the Prelinna Lookout (679 metres) where you are rewarded with spectacular views of the surrounding Flinders Ranges. Allow approximately four hours to complete the 40 kilometre track.
