Occ, Stock and Barrels is a new event on the Surfing NSW calendar. The mobile event will be based at North Cronulla Beach however the event can move along the entire Cronulla Beach strip. The event is strictly open to surfers living south of Sydney Harbour to the Minnamurra River (Southside, Sutherland Shire and Illawarra Regions). Occy will be on hand the whole weekend and will surf against the winners of each division in an exclusive 4-person Final.

Free Open Mic and Latin Jazz Jam Sessions are held fortnightly on Monday nights at Bar Me (El Rocco) in Kings Cross. This creative event welcomes musicians, singers and spectators. The open mic nights are full of creative Jazz, Cuban son, Brazilian boss nova, a bit of blues, tango, Latin boleros, salsa, French chansons, a little poetry and a capella. Come down for your 10 minutes of fame and bring three copies of charts and/or instruments. The venue is near the corner of William Street and only a two minute walk from Kings Cross train station. Bar food is available along with drinks at reasonable prices.

Every year Darling Harbour hosts Sydney's biggest Australia Day party with an impressive line-up of free entertainment for all the family. From early in the day, Darling Harbour stages the grandest of celebrations including an all-day feast of international food, performing artists, live bands and face painting and interactive shows for the kids. Creating a majestic finale to the day, a parade of tall ships sails around Cockle Bay, setting the scene for a dazzling extravaganza of fireworks, digital effects, pyrotechnics and music. The Sydney Christmas Parade is an annual community and cultural event, held on the last Sunday of November in Sydney’s central business district. See floats of all shapes and sizes along with dancers, cheerleaders, singers, celebrities, sporting heroes, cartoon characters and more. The parade aims to bring back the spirit of Christmas; bring the community together, bring the family unit together and to support the charities of Sydney. The Sydney Christmas Parade travels down George Street and finishes at Santa’s Village in Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, where the entertainment continues.
