The Narooma Visitor Information Centre provides friendly service for accommodation, tours and general holiday assistance with information available every day of the year except for Christmas Day. The Latrobe Visitor Information Centre is located on the Princes Highway in Traralgon. It is a dedicated tourism information centre offering professional and local knowledge on the Latrobe City and the wider central and west Gippsland region. The team of passionate staff and friendly volunteers are at your service! Latrobe City is ideally located, its position within the Central Gippsland region makes it central to an abundant array of natural wonders including the bush, snowfields, lakes and beaches. The region offers something for everyone. Key highlights of the area include the cool temperate rainforests of Tarra Bulga National Park, Morwell National Park and waterways like Lake Narracan and the popular Hazelwood Pondage. Discover one of the most successful old gold mining towns in Victoria, Walhalla, and other quaint country towns including Yinnar, Glengarry and Toongabbie. Latrobe City is also the major producer of Victoria's electricity! The area is fertile in brown coal deposits and visitors have the opportunity to learn about the production of electricity whilst in the area by following the Power Trail Route 98. Pop into the centre for more information. Metung Visitor Information Centre is centrally located in the Village and is open seven days per week and can assist visitors to Metung and surrounds with local information. They can also help visitors with booking accommodation, tours and activities in this picturesque Village located on the Gippsland Lakes. Metung is a small Village of 1100 permanent residents located on a narrow peninsula of land separating Bancroft Bay from Lake King. Situated in East Gippsland and ideally placed with the surrounding protected waters of the Gippsland Lakes. The Metung Visitor Information Centre can also help with information on day boat hire, overnight cruiser or yacht hire, scenic cruises, galleries, restaurants, cooking school, walks, sightseeing, wineries, food trails, tours and scenic drives. Bairnsdale Visitor Information Centre, in East Gippsland, is ideally situated at the start of the Great Alpine Road and a focal point on the Sydney to Melbourne Coastal Route serving both the Gippsland Lakes to the east and the High Country to the north. The region is an ever popular holiday and touring location all the year round being well known for not only its mild temperate climate especially in the winter months, but for its natural attractions. 'East Gippsland is naturally magic', this sums up its appeal for all ages and all interests. Bairnsdale Visitor Centre provides not only information but offers a free booking service for accommodation and for the many tours around the Gippsland Lakes Region by land sea and air. A comprehensive range of souvenirs and locally made products are also available as is internet access. In addition fishing licences, television or video display and Laminating service (to A3) are available. Activities in the region include swimming, sailing, boating, fishing, horse riding, canoeing, rowing, cycling, walks, drives and wine tasting.

The Orbost Visitor Information Centre is situated in Forest Park on Nicholson Street. The centre is housed in the historic Slab Hut. The hut was an original family dwelling built in 1872, on a site approximately three kilometres upstream from the junction of the Buchan and Snowy Rivers. Come and browse through the large array of tourist information, maps, books on the area, local produce and trinkets, while you enjoy the open fire in winter and the natural coolness in summer. Be greeted by the resident geese as you stroll through the lovely cottage garden, where bellbirds are in abundance. Relax with a picnic or barbecue in Forest Park, while the children enjoy the playground. An added interest are the Tourist maps, mosaic path, walking tracks and flood marker, all are fine examples of the local talent. The Visitor Information Centre is partly funded by the East Gippsland Shire and supports one part time Manager and a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers.
