Venture into Namadgi to discover its Aboriginal heritage. Experience wonderful birdlife, picnic and fishing spots and fantastic bushwalks with scenic views. Hire a Personal Locator Beacon from the Namadgi Visitor Centre if you're going to be hiking in remote areas. Enjoy ranger guided walks or escape into the rugged Bimberi wilderness. Horseriding and mountain biking is permitted on some of the fire trails while campgrounds are located in pleasant bushland settings - ask at the Namadgi Visitor Centre. Namadgi National Park is located at the northern end of the Australian Alps, 45 minutes drive from Canberra city.

Visit St John's Schoolhouse, Canberra's first school and school master's residence. It opened in 1845, to provide an elementary education for children from the Campbell estate of Duntroon and surrounding farms. See many family names in the Church graveyard. Visit the Schoolhouse to imagine the different scene of rural Canberra, before it became the Federal Capital. Sit at an old desk, write on a slate, or play old -fashioned games. See the fascinating early photographs of the Limestone Plains. School and other tours welcome by arrangement, for a small fee per head.

Enjoy an annual exhibition program which reflects the international profile of the Australian National University's School of Art. The School of Art Gallery presents a lively and diverse program of events throughout the year. The School of Art hosts a lively program of public lectures including visiting speakers twice weekly during Ssmester. Disc Golf is played at Eddison Park using the same concepts as club/ball golf, except you throw a disc (frisbee) from tee-off to hole. The hole is an elevated metal basket, into which the disc lands. It is free flying frisbee fun. Open to play disc golf at any time with your own disc or frisbee. Makeup your own course by playing from hole to hole through trees or around them. Bring your own Discs/Frisbees or contact Greg for disc hire and/or coaching. Caters for groups up to 30 (with two weeks prior notice).
