Leura Cascades is a popular picnic area set amidst tall eucalypts. Nearby you can take a walk beside the rapids on Leura Falls Creek down to Bridal Veil Falls and Leura Falls. Be prepared and plan your walks as several walks can be accessed from here and can either take you along the cliff tops to Echo Point or down through the Leura Forest and via the Federal or Dardanelles Passes to Katoomba. Leura Cascades is the start, or end, of the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. The picnic area is approximately 2.2 kilometres from Leura Railway Station.

The Glass Gallery in Springwood in the Lower Blue Mountains is a beautiful space showcasing glass art by artist Barbara Stephenson. After several years of designing and making leadlight panels and stained glass objects Barbara discovered kiln-formed glass. This provided a whole new dimension to her work. In recent years, Barbara has found Dichroic Glass and that has again added a new perspective to her work. There is always something new in The Glass Gallery as all of Barbara's pieces are unique. Every piece is made with passion by a true lover of glass.

Lyn Hart's ceramic studio and gallery is located at Leura in the Blue Mountains. Visitors are welcome to come and view Lyn's beautiful original ceramics or just wander in the lovely garden. The gallery is open to the public on weekends or you can arrange a visit by telephoning them. Workshops are available on request (minimum three people). Within Blue Mountains National Park, five minutes from the highway, is one of the most majestic waterfalls on the plateau. Wentworth Falls picnic area is a great base to explore the lush world of rainforests and waterfalls along a range of spectacular walking tracks to suit all the family. Wentworth Falls Lookout is an accessible lookout located just a few minutes walk from the carpark. Facilities at Wentworth Falls Picnic Area include car and bus parking, toilets, picnic tables and barbecues. If you come to Wentworth Falls by train, (two hours travel from Sydney) walk to Wilson Park, across the highway from the township. Darwins Walk starts in Wilson Park and commemorates a visit from Charles Darwin in 1861, and follows Jamison Creek to the top of Wentworth Falls.

Camping is allowed at Old Ford Reserve, a picturesque camping and picnic area alongside Megalong Creek in the Megalong Valley. The Reserve is accessible by road, the Megalong Valley is mostly granite country and the Valley has bird species that are not found on the cliff tops. Old Ford Reserve is 8.3 kilometres along the Six Foot Track from Katoomba

Anderson Fire Trail runs from Bedford Creek near Woodford to Kings Tableland at Wentworth Falls and is suitable for mountain biking and walking. The Trail also provides access to Murphys Glen and Ingar Picnic Area which is a popular campsite and picnic area. Access to Ingar Picnic Area is from Kings Tableland Road.

Ben Roberts Cafe and Gallery is an exciting venue in Lawson. The original cottage was built by Ben Roberts in 1893 and was occupied by tradesmen such as the local boot-maker and coal merchant. Now fully renovated with a modern cafe decorated with owner's artworks with seating for 50 inside and out. The attached gallery exhibitions change every three weeks with various featured artists. During the opening of exhibitions various mountains musicians and poets are featured. The cafe is open daily except Tuesday with tasty hotpots, garden fresh salads, soups, gourmet sandwiches, delicious cakes and Devonshire teas and Toby's Estate coffee. A breakfast menu is also available until 11.30 am. The cafe is licensed and sells Mt. Lawson wines and Bilpin apple and pear ciders. Stanley plays the piano on Saturday mornings.

Mount Piddington is a mountain in the Blue Mountains village of Mount Victoria. It has a lookout, restrooms and a picnic area at its summit, surrounded by a loop road, Mount Piddington Road, which runs from the summit to Mount Victoria village. It is also the starting point of several bushwalking tracks that descend to the cliffs of Hornes Point and the Fairy Bower reserve. Notable sites on the slopes of Mount Piddington include Coxs Leap and Bushranger Cave. Views of the Kanimbla Valley are possible from the lookout, although trees are present and it is not entirely clear. The mountain is mostly covered in bushland of the Eucalypt variety and adjoins One Tree Hill (1,111 metres) the highest point in the Blue Mountains Plateau.

Bakehouse on Wentworth is an organic sourdough bakery and cafe. The dream became reality in 2002, when a passionate baker, dedicated to his craft opened for business in Blackheath. Shelves stocked with a display of hand moulded sourdough loaves and the scent of freshly baked bread filling the streets, enticed the senses of passers by. Sweet, tempting cakes, irresistible treats and mouth watering gourmet pies were created to complete the bakeries range. The journey has continued and the dream has expanded to four retail outlets.
