The event brings the wine community together to promote the quality, diversity and value of Australian wine and to promote Australia’s internationally renowned wine growing regions. Aussie Wine Month presents a great opportunity to sample Australia’s best, be it a Tasmanian Pinot Noir, Hunter Valley Semillon, Margaret River Cabernet, Yarra Valley Chardonnay or Barossa Shiraz, or another variety from more than 60 designated wine regions.

Every Thursday and Sunday evening at sunset from May to October, the Darwin beachfront comes alive at the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets. The market features a multitude of stalls with local arts, crafts and entertainment, as well as stalls cooking cuisine from around the world. The eclectic range of merchants includes masseurs, tarot readers, leatherworkers, indigenous artists, tailors and jewellers. Entertainment is provided by free live street theatre, magicians and an array of local and international buskers. After browsing the stalls, enjoy a picnic dinner on the beach and watch the spectacular tropical sun set into the ocean.

For 14 delicious days in July Brisbane’s ‘delectable’ festival showcases Queensland’s finest produce, growers, chefs, gardeners, entertainers and musicians. A star attraction of delectable is the FOOD Series, which showcases local and national chefs in a wide program of events, from cooking demonstrations to talks on the latest food trends. The GROW Series sees the South Bank Cultural Forecourt transformed into an urban garden, with Brisbane's best restaurants serving up unforgettable flavours. The concurrent SOUND Series presents nine days of musical and cultural performances on a purpose-built stage. Many events make use of Brisbane’s green outdoor spaces and botanic gardens.

The Mundaring Truffle Festival celebrates the prized French black truffle, grown in Western Australia and produced here in larger quantities than anywhere else in the Southern Hemisphere. The festival runs at the height of the West Australian truffle-growing season. The star of the show is the Oak Valley truffle which features prominently in tastings, demonstrations, themed long table lunches and truffle master classes. There are also gourmet produce markets, children’s food activities, food for thought information sessions, truffle dog demonstrations, and a wine show. This entertaining gourmet weekend is set in picturesque Mundaring, just 45 minutes from the Perth CBD.

It is an opportunity to sample the State’s renowned cool-climate wines, peat-distilled malt whiskies and boutique beers. The festival also showcases a range of international cuisines prepared with fresh Tasmanian ingredients. The Taste Festival coincides with the finish of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, adding to the festivities.
