A warm and friendly European atmosphere greets you on your arrival at Candlelight Lodge. All lodge rooms have beautiful views of the mountain ski slopes. Most also have balconies. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with private en suites. Their family rooms consist of two rooms, and now have a XBox and DVD players. In winter you can relax by the open fire in the lounge and bar area after dinner in the restaurant or watch the snow fall over the mountain. For the kids there is table tennis, table soccer and a selection of DVDs available. Candlelight is centrally located with all resort facilities just an easy stroll away. The free village shuttle bus stops right outside the front door during winter. They have some on-site parking available. Parking is very limited and is first in first parked. They are unable to reserve parking spaces.

Award-winning Thredbo YHA is a purpose built lodge in the heart of Thredbo Village. It has a very cosy atmosphere with fireplace and great views over the mountain and ski-fields. There is a great self-catering kitchen that will help you keep costs down. There are a range of shared and private rooms, plus a studio apartment is available during winter. As one of the only budget options in Thredbo, the hostel is extremely popular during the ski season, so you need to book ahead. But it is also worth checking for last minute availability right through the winter. The YHA is a great base to experience Thredbo's huge range of summer activities. Facilities include: lounge, dining, self-catering kitchen, fast wireless internet access, television room (summer), laundry, games, kiosk, barbecue and more.
