A visit here is more than a visit to the center or middle of Australia. The sheer size of Uluru (Ayers Rock), the strong sense of spirituality and culture you will find here, combined with amazing stories and adventure you’ll discover in Alice Springs – means an encounter with the very heart of the country. Darwin is the gateway to the tropical north, affectionately known as the Top End. Aboriginal culture is etched into the community here and it is an ideal base for exploring World Heritage sites.

Day One
Your journey begins at Uluru/Ayers Rock, Australia's iconic interior. You’ll stay at Sails in the Desert, Ayers Rock Resort's premier hotel. This evening you’ll be transported to a desert dune where you sip champagne and listen to haunting sounds of didgeridoo as you watch a magnificent sunset over Kata Tjuta. When the sun has finally set, lanterns are lit and a gourmet Australian BBQ of is served under the stars. The resident astronomer will introduce you to the magnificent constellations, stars and planets that make up the skies of the Southern Hemisphere.

Day Two
An early rise this morning to join your Ayers Rock Sunrise and Base Tour. Visit the base to view sunrise over Uluru (Ayers Rock). After viewing the sunrise, enjoy a leisurely drive around the base of Uluru where your guide will point out a number of interesting features of the monolith, then take you on a walking tour of Mutitjulu Waterhole where you can view Aboriginal Rock Art.

Later this morning you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Alice Springs (flight not included).

You haven't experienced Australia until you've been to its heart and marveled at the results of Mother Nature's handiwork. Alice Springs is the area's headquarters and the perfect base for exploration. This afternoon you’ll have a private personalized tour of Alice Springs to suit your interests. Visits can include the Royal Flying Doctor Base, Aboriginal Cultural Museum and Art Gallery, Alice Springs Desert Park, School of the Air, Ross River Homestead, Flynn's Grave and more.

Late in the afternoon, a helicopter flight to remember. Imagine it: chilled bubbly, a desert sunset and you...Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly before flying to Honeymoon Gap, along Mt Gillen ridgeline to Heavitree Gap, providing extensive views of Alice Springs as the sun sets over the desert ranges. The perfect end to a perfect day!

Your luxury outback cabin at Ooraminna awaits. This morning you’ll travel 30 minutes out of Alice Springs to Ooraminna Bush Camp. Here you’ll experience true outback hospitality. William and Mary Hayes were one of the pioneer families of the Alice Springs District, arriving in the area in 1884 with horses and bullock teams loaded with steel poles to replace the original wooden poles on the Overland Telegraph Line. Today, six generations later, Bill and Jan Hayes and their family invite you to experience the unique beauty of the outback with them.
