Game On In Geelong! The Australian Masters Games is a biannual sporting event that is regarded as one of the premiere and largest participation sporting events on the Australian sporting landscape. From 5, October-12, October 2013 Geelong will be host to this mass participation event. Just an hour from Melbourne, Geelong is set on a sparkling bay with a well-developed and welcoming waterfront precinct, and an array of nearby tourist destinations. Over 8,800 individuals from all walks of life are expected to converge on Geelong for this week-long event. Entrants must be over the age of 30 and there is no limit as to how many events an individual may participate in. As well as an extensive sporting schedule, the Australian Masters Games will also comprise a variety of social events.

Incorporating a great weekend of entertainment over the Queen's Birthday long weekend this event is a highlight on the Australian Eventing calendar. Comprising three phases; dressage, cross country and showjumping, 3 Day Eventing is one of the most challenging and exciting equestrian sports. International 3 Day Events are graded according to level of difficulty with stars awarded to indicate the Event's grading. Melbourne International 3 Day Event is a 3 Star, the second highest grade, only surpassed in difficulty by events such as the Olympic and World Equestrian Games. Conducted in the beautiful surrounds of Werribee Park Mansion and the National Equestrian Centre, only half an hour from Melbourne, MI3DE is not to be missed. Spectators are well catered for with the dressage and showjumping phases held indoors at the equestrian centre. The cross country course winds through the State Rose Garden and formal grounds of Werribee Park Mansion. Outdoor hospitality marquees on the Cross Country Course plus an expanded trade village, food court and wine and food show ensure an eventful weekend for all!

PAX is the largest consumer games event in North America, first held in Seattle in 2004 and nearly doubling in size each successive year and expanding to a second show in Boston in 2010. PAX Australia will combine the exciting program from the international shows with local content and community events. Garden DesignFest is the largest designer open garden weekend held in Melbourne, Started under the patronage of John Patrick this event commenced in 2004 and has since raised some $285,000 for worthwhile charities. The event attracts visitors locally, interstate and internationally. The 2012 event continued to account for every possible taste from family to formal, traditional to artistic and native to Hollywood. In all, 26 gardens, all designed by landscape professionals including Paul Bangay, Fiona Brockhoff, Rick Eckersley and Steve Taylor were on show. Each designer was in attendance at their garden to meet and talk with visitors about their garden and answer any questions they had. The Mildura Jazz, Food and Wine Festival is one of the major events on the spring calendar and is now in its 34th year. The event showcases so much of what makes this region a wonderful place to live and to visit. The Festival celebrates all Mildura has to offer and reaffirms it's reputation as Victoria's Food Bowl. This year will be no exception with top quality produce and fine wines again on show, at a number of fine restaurants and wineries. The event also brings together traditional and mainstream jazz. A fine array of musicians, bands and traditional jazz ensembles feature in the 2013 Festival program. Organisers are currently busy securing bands and venues for November. The Apollo Bay Music Festival is firmly on the map as a major annual tourist and community event for Apollo Bay and a significant Festival for Victoria. Although music is the focus, the Festival programs multi art forms including theatre, literature, film, comedy and dance.
