Game On In Geelong! The Australian Masters Games is a biannual sporting event that is regarded as one of the premiere and largest participation sporting events on the Australian sporting landscape. From 5, October-12, October 2013 Geelong will be host to this mass participation event. Just an hour from Melbourne, Geelong is set on a sparkling bay with a well-developed and welcoming waterfront precinct, and an array of nearby tourist destinations. Over 8,800 individuals from all walks of life are expected to converge on Geelong for this week-long event. Entrants must be over the age of 30 and there is no limit as to how many events an individual may participate in. As well as an extensive sporting schedule, the Australian Masters Games will also comprise a variety of social events.

The Apollo Bay Music Festival is firmly on the map as a major annual tourist and community event for Apollo Bay and a significant Festival for Victoria. Over the years it has also established itself as a highly regarded Festival throughout Australia and on the international circuit. The Festival continues to develop a growing Melbourne, interstate and international audience, attracting a multi-age group attendance of families, couples through to retirees. The Festival is recognised for programming headline acts as well as discovering emerging artists. Although music is the focus, the Festival programs multi art forms including theatre, literature, film, comedy and dance.

The Falls Music & Arts Festival is one of the finest, longest running, boutique music events in Australia. Dive in with 5,000 other swimmers in the world's largest organised swim. Each year thousands of swimmers dive into a sea of history and race the 1.2 kilometre course of the Lorne Pier to Pub. The Lorne Pier to Pub started as an informal challenge among Lorne Surf Life Saving Club members. It's now an action-packed weekend attracting people from near and far to both participate in the race and soak up the carnival atmosphere. Over the past 33 years the event has grown in size and stature and now claims centre stage of a two day program that includes the Mountain to Surf Fun Run and Surf Boat Race Classic. Since 3071 swimmers took to the water in 1998, the swim has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest open water swim.

Following the bagpipe blowing success that was the 2012 Festival, Camperdown and Corangamite Shire have now confirmed that the 2013 Camperdown Robert Burns Scottish Festival will be held in the town between the 5th and 7th July! Come and experience the Scottish heritage of the area and learn about the man that was and the statue that is the great Robbie Burns! The 2012 programme involved a Deer Stalkers Ball, an evening family Ceilidh, Scottish markets and bag piping from the top of the clock tower. The 2013 Festival promises even more. The Great Ocean Road International Marathon - Festival of Running, Walking and Wheeling, will be held on the weekend of 18-19 May, 2013. The six-race concept caters for runners, walkers and wheelchair participants of all ages and abilities over two days. The Great Ocean Road Real Estate Marathon will be held on Sunday, 19 May 2013, starting in Lorne and finishing in Apollo Bay. The Fagg's Mite 10 Half Marathon will also be held on Sunday, from Kennett River and finishing in Apollo Bay. The road from Lorne to Apollo Bay provides the most spectacular and challenging course of any marathon in the world.
