At the Derby Visitor Centre you will find everything you need to explore this richly diverse town of the Kimberley. The country around Derby is rich with boab trees, but there are other riches to discover beyond the boabs. Explore the Gibb River Road, Horizontal Waterfall and the Buccaneer Archipelago or explore the rich history of the oldest town in the Kimberley. Their friendly and helpful staff offer expert knowledge of the region and are happy to organise all your travel requirements to complete your Kimberley adventure. The Derby Visitor Centre opening hours vary with the season. October to March they open 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday; 9.00am to 12 noon Saturday closed on Sunday. April, May, September they open 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 1.00pm Saturday and Sunday. June to August they open 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 4.00pm Saturday and Sunday.

The Broome Visitor Centre is located in the town of Broome, which is set between a vast red desert and azure blue sea, alongside a pure white beach. In December 2006 a new Visitor Centre was opened and this spacious centre is recognised as providing high quality visitor servicing through its presentation of first-class information, free visitor booking service and automated online reservation system all from first class specialists who are keen to share their love of this beautiful area. The Broome Visitor Centre is open 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 4.00pm Saturday and Sunday.

Halls Creek Visitor Centre (located in Halls Creek Travel and Tourism) is centrally located on Great Northern Highway. It is open 364 days per year (closed Christmas Day). Opening hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm (7.00am opening 1 April to 30 September). The Visitor Centre offers a wide variety of souvenirs, maps, postcards, gifts and books at reasonable prices. With detailed local knowledge of the area they can arrange bookings for scenic flights, accommodation and tours. They also offer a full travel agency experience, with domestic and international flights, accommodation, car hire and packages.

Broome International Airport (BIA) is the regional hub of the north western part of Western Australia. Considered the gateway to the Kimberley, it meets the needs and expectations of Community and Industry, including the development of LNG in Browse Basin. Servicing over 300,000 passengers every year, Broome International Airport is the largest regional airport in the state. There are shopping and dining outlets within the Terminal which operate to suit departing flights (generally open one and half hours prior to departure). Complimentary baggage trolleys are available for both arriving and departing passengers. Additionally there are ATMs located in the Departure Terminal at the Check-In area, and in the Departure Lounge within the Pandanas Shop. Airlines and destinations include Airnorth to Darwin, and Kununurra, Golden Eagle Airlines to Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, and Halls Creek, Qantas to Melbourne (seasonal), Perth, and Sydney (seasonal), Skywest to Darwin, Exmouth (seasonal), Kununurra, Perth, and Denpasar/Bali (seasonal), Virgin Blue to Adelaide, and Perth.
