Say G’day to Janine, a wildlife conservationist who’s one of our friendly 24 million mates.
She can take you for a hike in the You Yangs; a mountain range in Victoria just outside of Melbourne in a place called Geelong, and introduce you to some of her more elusive mates; including emus, wallabies and koalas. In fact, Janine has pioneered a way to identify individual koalas just from their noses. This has led to a wild koala research project following the lives of over 100 individual koalas, meaning you can discover some of Australia’s unique wildlife in their natural habitat.
