From Björk to Boy George, these are the top seven musical experiences from the Vivid Sydney line-up.

Vivid Music runs as part of Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas held from 27 May to 18 June, 2016. The music program features performances across 28 venues, with over 1300 hours of music. Vivid Music Curator, Stephen Ferris has curated a program to showcase and celebrate Sydney’s vibrant and diverse music scene, offering a range of events for local and international music fans including exciting new acts like home-grown heroes turned international music heavyweights, Bag Raiders, international music artists Björk and New Order, famed Australian singer-songwriter, Don Walker and international pop-icon, Boy George.

Boy George at Café Del Mar, Darling Harbour, Vivid Sydney 2016, New South Wales

Boy George | 12 June at Café Del Mar, Darling Harbour

Heralding from 80s super group Culture Club fame, internationally renowned artist Boy George will perform an exclusive DJ set on the rooftop terrace of Darling Harbour’s Café Del Mar, which offers a perfect viewing spot to see Vivid Sydney overlooking Darling Harbour. Don Walker | 27 May at Camelot Lounge, Marrickville

Don Walker is an Australian musician known for writing many of the hits for Australian rock band Cold Chisel. He played piano and keyboard with the band from 1973 to 1983. Now, returning to the stage with his band, Don Walker will perform the songs that have mapped Australia from Kings Cross to regional towns over the last 30 years. Buy tickets here.

Björk Digital World Premiere at Carriageworks, Vivid Sydney 2016, New South Wales

BJÖRK DIGITAL Exhibition | 4-18 June at Carriageworks, Eveleigh

One of Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk’s three Vivid performances, BJÖRK DIGITAL is the premiere of a new virtual reality project from the musician, which will run alongside other collaborations with some of the finest filmmakers and programmers in the world. Entry is free, find out more here

Bag Raiders | 2 June and 4 June at Oxford Art Factory 

Originally from Sydney,  Los Angeles based electronic -pop darlings, Bag Raiders are returning home for their first Australian tour since 2011. The band is here to celebrate the release of their new single 'Checkmate' which features a triple dose of infectious, radiant electronic pop that dances across the spectrum. Mulatu Astatke (Ethiopia) & the Black Jesus Experience, The Basement, Vivid Sydney 2016, New South Wales

#Portals - KUČKA & Rachel Archibald | 2 June at The Basement, Sydney

#Portals is a new collaborative work between electronic musician KUČKA and visual artist Rachael Archibald in which the audience will be immersed in textural soundscapes - delivered in surround sound - and impressive digital video manipulations. Focusing on the themes of shared consciousness, virtual reality, and escapism, #Portals explores how technology is increasingly used as a vessel for human interaction with new environments, personas and pleasure. Buy tickets here.

Mulatu Astatke (Ethiopia) & the Black Jesus Experience | 5 June at The Basement, Sydney

Mulatu Astatke is the Father of Ethio-Jazz and one of Africa's most influential and enduring musical figures. His blend of jazz and funk grooves with Ethiopia's distinctive pentatonic scales has gained him international repute. Astatke will travel to Australia as part of Vivid Music to reconnect with Australian band the Black Jesus Experience, extending their long term musical relationship. Buy tickets here.

One Day Sundays | 5 June at the Factory, Marrickville

One Day Sundays is a unique hip hop party, combining DJs, live graffiti art, food, drinks and good vibes. This year is spearheaded by One Day DJs Joyride, Adit, Raph and Nick Lupi, and will see some of Australia’s top artists painting a live graffiti mural at the Factory Theatre. Buy tickets here.
