Itinerary details

Day 1: Arrive Sydney - Blue Mountains

Depart from the airport with AEA Luxury Tours. Departing from the city travel directly to the Blue Mountains and the first stop of the day is at Euroka Clearing located deep in the National Park. Here there is abundant birdlife to be found and it's also home to wild kangaroos. Wander at leisure to see if you can spot any of these beautiful native animals. Your guide will prepare a refreshing morning tea or coffee for you with some local delicacies from Euroka Clearing. Continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. Visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley, seeing beautiful vistas. Continuing on arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous Three Sisters. Whilst the Blue Mountains features so much more than this natural attraction you can't help but admire the unquestionable beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colors. Here your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation. From here, you are taken to your accommodation to check in. The remainder of the day is at your own leisure to relax and explore. Lunch is own cost today. 

One night: Blue Mountains; Mountain Heritage

Day 2: Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley

Hunter Valley Gardens, Hunter Valley, New South Wales

In the morning, at 8:30 AM travel around the mountains, stopping at Govetts Leap for spectacular Escarpment views. Then continue on to the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens to have a short walk through the gardens enjoying expansive views followed by morning tea/coffee refreshments. From here, we make our way through to Bilpin and then into the Wollemi National Park to Putty and on to the Hunter Valley. On arrival, enjoy a delightful lunch with glass of wine at a Vineyard Cafe followed by a visit to a boutique winery for tastings. We then deliver you to your accommodation to enjoy the remainder of afternoon and evening relaxing at leisure.

One night: Hunter Valley; Mercure Hunter Gardens Resort 

Day 3: Hunter Valley to Sydney

After breakfast time to relax. Approximately 11:15 AM – 11:30 AM re-join the wine tour and continue onto Leogate Estate. This opulent cellar door is the perfect place to enjoy that unique taste which only the Hunter Valley and their award winning wines can provide. All wines produced from the great vines of one of the most highly regarded vineyards in Australia. Here, enjoy a selection of cheeses to accompany the wine tasting, followed by a tour of the onsite winery to learn of the wine making process.

On conclusion of the tour, enjoy a relaxing 2 course lunch (selection of platters, followed by dessert of choice) accompanied by a glass of wine. Further beverages can be purchased at own expense. After lunch, enjoy a stop at the Hunter Village where you have the options of visiting the Chocolate Shop for sampling and perhaps a decadent purchase or two!... explore the boutique shops or enjoy a final wine tasting at the local Cellar Door. From here, return to Sydney to arrive back at your hotels approximately 5 – 5:30 PM.

Wake up in Sydney. Explore Sydney on an afternoon tour. Insider Experience: Tonight, enjoy a stunning dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour.

Here, you will be given the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of conservation and see many native Australian species up close. Continue to the resort town of Noosa. Insider Experience: Dine at the local Noosa Surf Club.

Day 8: Noosa - Fraser Island

Travel to Hervey Bay. Insider Experience: Join your cruise to the world's largest sand island, World Heritage-listed Fraser Island. Settle in at Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Two nights: Fraser Island, Kingfisher Bay Resort

Day 9: Fraser Island

Champagne Pools Lookout, Fraser Island, Queensland

Enjoy a half-day tour of Fraser Island, followed by some leisure time in the afternoon.

Day 10: Fraser Island - Hervey Bay - Rockhampton

A morning ferry takes you across Hervey Bay. Back on land, travel to Rockhampton.

Day 11: Rockhampton - Hamilton Island

Explore the charming historical town of Rockhampton, known as the gateway to the coast and the Outback. Founded in 1853, the city is home to beautiful heritage architecture and a rich, fascinating history. Then travel to Airlie Beach and enjoy one of the region's most beautiful beaches. Insider Experience: Here, you will join a ferry through the sparkling Whitsundays and arrive at Hamilton Island. Enjoy dinner later this evening.

Two nights: Hamilton Island, Reef View Hotel 

Day 12: Hamilton Island

You have the entire day at leisure to do as little or as much as you like. Perhaps snorkel off the beach, enjoy a round of golf or hire a buggy to explore this beautiful island (all at own expense).

Day 13: Hamilton Island - Townsville - Mission Beach

Castaways Resort & Spa, Mission Beach, Queensland

Take an early morning ferry transfer, gliding from Hamilton Island to the Port of Airlie, where you will reboard your coach and travel to Townsville. On arrival, enjoy a tour of the city. Continue to Mission Beach, the destination where two of the most stunning World Heritage-listed areas meet; the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Arrive at your beachfront escape, Castaways Resort and Spa, where the only thing between you and the golden beach is a grassy lawn and a line of coconut palms. Complete with a secluded rainforest swimming area, it won't be long before you discover why Mission Beach has earned its reputation as a haven for rest and relaxation.

Day 14: Mission Beach - Atherton Tablelands - Cairns

Explore the lush Atherton Tablelands. Insider Experience: Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway in Kuranda and ride above the treetops to Caravonica Lakes. In Cairns, stay at the Pullman Cairns International.

Two nights: Pullman Cairns International 

Day 15: Cairns and Great Barrier Reef

Insider Experience: Cruise to Reef Magic's platform on the Great Barrier Reef. Insider Experience: Back in Cairns, enjoy a Farewell Dinner at Tjapukai By Night.

Day 17: Alice Springs - Uluru

Uluru, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Northern Territory

Drive along the West MacDonnell Ranges and stop at a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense). Insider Experience: Head to your resort and enjoy a glass of wine at sunset at a viewing platform overlooking Uluru (Ayers Rock).

Day 18: Uluru - Kings Canyon

Tour the base of Uluru at sunrise. Visit Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and walk to Walpa Gorge.
