Friends, we think it’s pretty safe to say that burgers are life. So it’s only fitting that we serve you up with a guide to the Aussie burger revolution that has taken place and has produced some of the FINEST patties ever to have graced our lips. Here are 12 of the best.
Why: The Rowdy Double Cheeseburger – with an indulgent, buttery bun and loads of melting cheese – with a side of chilli cheese chips.
Where: 3/48 Easey Street, Collingwood. It's a train carriage, on a rooftop, overlooking Melbourne City. Need we say more?
Why: The Altered Beast burger with beef, bacon, cheese, grilled onions and both BBQ and special 8Bit sauce.

Why: The Korean chicken burger, falafel burgers and the Pearl’s Cheeseburger with cheese, pickles, onion, ketchup and mustard.

Why: The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, which uses maple bacon and piles it high.

Why: Greek Goddess, a prime lamb patty with feta, tzatziki, hummus, tomato, lettuce, red onion and flat leaf parsley, and the ice cream burger (pictured).
