Ensuite, retracez la piste des éleveurs et chercheurs d'or, et visitez la station de localisation des fusées Apollo à Honeysuckle Creek. Conduisez en 4x4 jusqu'au sommet du Mont Coree, pêchez dans ses ruisseaux riches en truites et faites du ski de fond le long de ses flancs en hiver. Admirez les kangourous, les wallabies et les grenouilles corroboree septentrionales, et explorez les bois de ‘snow gums' (gommiers des neiges), les marais et les plaines recouvertes de fleurs sauvages.

Réserve naturelle de Tidbinbilla

Woods Reserve

Woods Reserve is a popular venue for picnics, barbeques and camping. The area offers picnic tables and shelter, gas barbeques and wood fire pits. Amenities with code access include flush toilets and showers. Washing-up facilities need water from the creek. Bring your own drinking water and firewood. Camping at Woods Reserve is on a first come first served basis. Woods Reserve is on the banks of Gibraltar Creek to the south of Canberra. Check their website for full details.

Namadgi National Park

A variety of campgrounds and bush camping are available in this 106,000ha national Park. Honeysuckle Campground has access to the historic Honeysuckle Tracking Station site. A walking track connects to Booroomba Rocks/Orroral Ridge. Orroral Campground has a linkage to Orroral Heritage Walking Track network. Mt Clear Campground has access to Naas Valley to Horse Gully Hut walk. A three night limit applies at all Namadgi campgrounds. You will need a camping permit for Namadgi National Park. Bookings for these permits must be made in advance at the Namadgi Visitor Centre.

Kambah Pool to Pine Island

This seven kilometre marked walking trail is especially scenic and easily accessible. The magnificent Red Rocks Gorge can by accessed via a short side trail about half way between Kambah Pool and Pine Island. Allow approximately three hours one way. Pick up a pamphlet a short way along the trail. No dogs allowed. Please be aware there is a nude bathing area 200m downstream from Kambah Pool. This is a very popular area and is clearly signposted.
