Today you will begin your Swain Destinations customized itinerary. Please note, international air has not been included in this package price. Ask about packaging your airfare into your customized itinerary.

Day 2: Cross the International Date Line

Cross the International Date Line, an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth that runs from the North to the South Pole - and defines one calendar day from the next. Crossing the International Date Line adds one day (24 hours) traveling west, and subtracts one day (24 hours) traveling east.

Day 3: Welcome to Queensland, Australia

Today you will arrive in Queensland. Stunningly situated on a mountaintop in Queensland's Scenic Rim, Spicers Peak Lodge is as far from the pressure of everyday life as it's possible to be. Let your cares melt away in one of the elegant rooms, enjoy an award-winning gourmet experience, unwind in Spa Anise or choose from a host of invigorating outdoor activities. By day enjoy bush-walking and tours of the area, take a dip in the pool or a game of tennis. By night sample fine food and wine or take in the brilliance of stars in clear mountain skies.

Day 4: Spicers Peak Activities

Spicers Peak Lodge is the perfect place to relax and de-stress but it's also a great place to re-energize and reconnect with nature. You'll feel on top of the world. Enjoy a game of tennis under the big sky or under the night lights. Tennis equipment is available on site. Enjoy board games, card games, books, and billiards in our luxurious loft. Play a game of bocce, croquet and quoits on the lawn surrounding the lodge. Bush-walking tracks and mountain bike trails are a great way to get closer to the stunning scenery and local wildlife of the surrounding area.

Day 5: Southeast Queensland to Lizard Island

Lizard Island, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland

The drive is around 90-100 miles. Allow at least 2 hours for the drive, longer for stops along the way or to allow for peak traffic. Fly Brisbane to Cairns before your flight transfers from Cairns to Lizard Island. Lizard Island, Australia's most northern island resort, is renowned for both diving, especially the 'Cod Hole' where you can see huge Moray Eels and the famous Potato Cod, and game fishing for Black Marlin. Located on the Inner Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island offers a private paradise in an exclusive environment.

Day 6: Lizard Island

Lizard Island offers some of the best diving in the world, and with its enviable location right on the reef, spectacular diving opportunities are endless throughout this marine national park. Snorkelers are rewarded with coral gardens, brightly colored tropical fish and giant clams just moments from the island's beaches. Discover secluded, pristine beaches by foot or by motorized dinghy with a gourmet picnic just for two. Try a gentle bush walk, fishing or a glass bottom boat trip, or indulge in the serenity of a treatment at the luxurious Azure Spa. Lizard Island is luxury at its finest.

Day 7: Day at Leisure

Renowned for its powdery white sand beaches and spectacular diving opportunities, Lizard Island takes pride in being one of only a few nestled right on the Great Barrier Reef. While the fish may not respect your privacy, rest assured the staff on the island will. Lizard Island seamlessly blends indoors and out in an elegant open plan design the essence of stylish Australian beach-side living.

Day 8: Lizard Island to Daintree Rainforest

Fly from Lizard Island to Cairns and then transfer from the Cairns Airport to Silky Oaks Lodge. A representative will meet you at the airport for the one-and-a-half-hour scenic drive to your accommodation. Sitting calmly on the winding Mossman Gorge River is Silky Oaks Lodge, an eco-luxury resort providing the perfect place to explore the abundant Daintree Rainforest. The lodge is built from sustainable materials and lives in harmony with nature rather than disrupting the habitat. Suites and tree houses are scattered around the property, and are comfortable and spacious with the lively sounds of the forest complementing the elegant tropical design.

Day 9: Walkabout Adventures

Spend time with a local Aboriginal tour guide, visiting many culturally significant areas and learning about the amazing relationships the Kuku Yalanji still have with their land. Learn the history, culture and traditions of the local Aboriginal people and the area. Walk through the rainforest and coastal habitats learning about the environment, different foods and medicines utilized from nature, sample some bush tucker, collect shellfish and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices, have a go at spear throwing and if you are lucky, catch a mud crab. To complete the adventure, cool off in a pristine freshwater stream.

A driver will meet at your accommodation to transfer you to the Cairns Airport where you will fly to Sydney. A two-and a-half-hour drive from Sydney, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is remarkably accessible yet feels a world away. Departing the Sydney area, you will soon connect with the picturesque Bells Line Road to Sydney's North West.
